Our Tentative Itinerary

Day 1 – Travel from your home to JFK. Board a transcontinental flight to Tel Aviv. The Adventure begins!

Day 2 – (Remember Israel is 7 hours ahead of EST) Arrive in Tel Aviv. Transfer to our Hotel in Jerusalem. For those intrepid souls who crave action, we may be able to arrange a special nighttime excursion. More later!

Day 3 – Bethany and the tomb of Lazarus, Bethlehem, the church of the Nativity, the Shepherd’s field. The Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, and the site of the Ascension.

Day 4 – The Old City of Jerusalem, the Western wall and the Temple mount. The pool of Bethesda, and the Via Dolorosa. Herod’s Antonia, The Upper room, The recently excavated home of Caiaphas, and the Garden tomb.

Day 5 – Today you have some options. It ’s a "Free" day, so if you have been dying to shop, or if you want to go exploring by yourselves, you can do so. But for those who sign up, there will be a day long trip to Bet Guvrein, for a day learning and working at an archaeological site.

Day 6 – Explore the fortress of Masada, swim in the Dead Sea, Visit Jericho, the oldest known city in the world, conquered by Joshua – Travel to Qumran, where the Dead sea scrolls were discovered. Arrive in Tiberias, where we will spend the next 3 nights.

Day 7 – Visit Beth Shan, ruled by the Philistines, the Egyptians, the Israelites and the Romans. We’ll also visit Nazareth, the birthplace of Jesus, Sepphoris, and Cana.

Day 8 – Cross the sea of Galilee in a Kinnereth boat. We will visit Kibbutz Not Ginnosar, Capernaum, Chorazin, and the Mount of Beatitudes.

Day 9 – Megiddo, one of Solomon’s provincial capitals, and the site of many major battles, including the great one to come. Mt Carmel, where Elijah vanquished the 400 prophets of Baal, and then on to Caesarea where Paul was imprisoned. Then our overnight flight from Tel Aviv to the US.

Day 10 – Return to the US and then Home.
